Enjoy one of the most sought-after vineyard experiences in Sonoma County! Embark on a vineyard walk through the picturesque Big River Vineyard, nestled on the west side of Alexander Valley, near the town of Healdsburg. This guided tour, led by either Silver Oak Vice President of Winegrowing Nate Weis or Silver Oak CEO David R. Duncan, will offer a rare opportunity to explore the vineyard’s unique terroir and learn about the meticulous winegrowing process. You and your guests will take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the Russian River and get an up-close look at the vines and the unique growing conditions that contribute to the exceptional quality of their wines.

Big River Vineyard sits directly east of Fitch Mountain, on a ridge surrounded by the Russian River, which dramatically curves around the property on three sides. The vineyard’s well-drained, deeply red soils, composed of fine Suther loam and Manzanita gravelly silt loam, are ideal for producing high-quality grapes. Acquired in 2017, the vineyard was reconfigured, upgraded, and replanted with Cabernet Sauvignon and three acres of Petit Verdot. The Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard is known for its dark, ripe characteristics, adding density and depth to the wine’s mid-palate and fleshiness to frame the blend.

After the vineyard tour, enjoy a lunch for 10 guests at Silver Oak Alexander Valley. The Silver Oak culinary team will craft a delicious meal that perfectly complements a selection of their finest Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon vintages. This dining experience will showcase the rich flavors and craftsmanship that define their wines, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees.
