This instant cellar celebrates the spirit of community, the dynamic 2017 vintage and the world-class wines that were produced!
While 2017 is partially remembered for the Tubbs, Nuns and Pocket fires that occurred late in the harvest season and after most Sonoma County wineries had harvested their fruit, the esteemed 2017 vintage is also an ongoing tribute to our wineries, grape growers, agricultural community and the world-class wines they make, and grapes they grow.
With 42 separate Sonoma County wineries contributing to this amazing 2017 wine collection, this lot celebrates the renowned diversity in varietals, growing regions and wine styles that Sonoma County is known for throughout the world.
According to James Hall, Co-Founder, Owner and Winemaker at Patz & Hall: “A very warm, beautiful summer advanced the growing season ahead by almost two weeks, causing us to accelerate picking to get the grapes into the winery at ideal ripeness. We started harvest on August 18 with sparkling wine cuvee and brought in our last grapes on September 27, making 2017 the fastest harvest since 2008. 2017 is proving to be a fine year, producing wines of depth, finesse, focused vineyard character and delicious flavors and aromas. The wines are delicious.”
Claire Ramey, President of Ramey Wine Cellars: “2017 has a marked varietal intensity, with great aging potential. Good soil moisture and ideal growing conditions allowed the heat at harvest to concentrate flavors, while preserving freshness.”
Join us in commemorating the spirit of community and celebrating with these fabulous wines from the 2017 vintage, gracing your cellar for the years to come!
